The Wilcom PS-11 is a master POTS splitter featuring a screw-type terminal block for weather-proof connections and simple field installation.
The PS-11 passive low-pass filter allows POTS service in concert with ADSL technology by blocking high frequency (20kHz-2.2MHz) energy from interfering with voice equipment. The PS-11 is backwards compatible with all xDSL systems.
This splitter sets the standard for ADSL and ADSL2+ performance allowing the maximum bitrates possible to the customer.
The Wilcom PS-11 POTS Splitter is unique because of its convenient mounting location inside the Network Interface Device (NID). The PS-11 is similar in size to a standard station protector and mounts on the Telco side inside the NID. The terminal block connectors allow for easy installation so the installer can simply connect the existing premise wiring to the PHONE terminals on the splitter, and have POTS service up and running within minutes without expensive, and timeconsuming rewiring. A “home-run” connection with data-grade cable is recommended direct to the xDSL modem from the ATU-R/MODEM connection on the splitter.
